Job Description

We are looking for a Central Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, bulk production, packing, labelling, storage, and general central kitchen operations.

The successful candidate will assist in preparing ingredients and food items in larger quantities while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with bulk food preparation and ingredient processing.
• Wash, cut, portion, marinate, pack, and label ingredients or food items.
• Support production of food items according to recipes and standard procedures.
• Assist with weighing, measuring, and packing ingredients or finished products.
• Ensure all packed items are labelled correctly with item name, date, and quantity where required.
• Arrange food items for storage, delivery, or transfer to outlets.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas, equipment, tools, and storage spaces.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Support stock rotation using FIFO.
• Report stock issues, quality issues, wastage, damaged goods, or equipment problems.
• Assist with receiving and arranging kitchen supplies when required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in central kitchen, catering, food production, F&B, or food manufacturing will be an advantage.
• No experience may be considered for suitable candidates willing to learn.
• Able to work in a production-based kitchen environment.
• Able to follow recipes, portioning instructions, and food preparation standards.
• Good attention to detail in packing, labelling, and food handling.
• Able to stand for long hours and perform physical duties.
• Responsible, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
