Role Description The LEGO Model Builder is a full-time, on-site role based at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort in Johor Bahru. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining LEGO models and installations throughout the resort, ensuring they are visually appealing, structurally sound, and aligned with brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include conceptualizing new models, interpreting design briefs, sorting and organizing bricks, and assembling models using various building techniques. The LEGO Model Builder also performs repairs, cleaning, and routine inspections on existing models to preserve quality and safety. In addition, the role may involve interacting with guests during workshops or demonstrations, supporting special events and exhibits, and collaborating with creative, operations, and maintenance teams to enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications

• Strong LEGO building skills, including creative model design, structural planning, and attention to detail. Preferably has background in electrical animation.
• Artistic and design capabilities, such as basic drawing, color sense, 3D visualization, and an eye for aesthetics.
• Technical and practical abilities, including manual dexterity, spatial awareness, and familiarity with tools used for model mounting and maintenance.
• Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment and interact confidently with guests of all ages.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills for planning projects, managing time, and handling multiple builds or repairs simultaneously.
• Experience in art, design, model-making, architecture, or related creative fields is an advantage.
• Comfort working in an entertainment, theme park, or hospitality environment, including adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
• Ability to work on-site in Johor Bahru, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required by resort operations.
