About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join the team at United Power & Resources Sdn. Bhd. in Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing our equipment and systems. As a Technician, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that all technical equipment functions optimally and safely. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technology whilst contributing directly to the success and reliability of our services across the region.

Key responsibilities

1. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on assigned equipment and technical systems

2. Diagnose technical faults and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to restore optimal functionality

3. Conduct preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan

4. Install, calibrate, and test new equipment according to technical specifications and safety standards

5. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs completed, and parts used

6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all technical work

7. Respond promptly to emergency calls and service requests to minimise operational disruptions

8. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate maintenance schedules and technical support

9. Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or improvements and report findings to management

What we're looking for

1. Relevant technical qualification or certification in a related field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or industrial technology)

2. Proven experience as a Technician or in a similar maintenance and repair role within the industrial or services sector

3. Strong understanding of technical equipment, machinery, and systems relevant to power and resources industries

4. Proficiency in diagnosing faults using testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies

5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work

6. Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in technical environments

7. Ability to work independently whilst also functioning effectively as part of a team

8. Physical capability to perform hands-on technical work and occasional heavy lifting

9. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Johor as required

10. Strong communication skills and the ability to document work clearly and accurately

11. CIDB green card

12. Additional required : Forklift License / Rigger man / Charges man
