About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our team at Autowell (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of efficient and effective manufacturing processes to support our growing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and optimize assembly processes for customized automation equipment to improve assembly efficiency, quality, and workflow consistency.

• Prepare and maintain assembly SOPs, work instructions, process flow, and standard operation documentation.

• Coordinate with design, electrical, mechanical, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth project execution and machine build activities.

• Analyze assembly issues during machine build and provide practical process improvement solutions to reduce rework and assembly difficulties.

• Lead process planning for new projects and support new product introduction (NPI) activities.

• Design and improve assembly fixtures, tools, and workstation layout to enhance assembly productivity and ergonomics.

• Monitor assembly progress and manpower allocation to ensure projects are completed according to schedule and quality requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and on-job training to technicians and assemblers to ensure compliance with assembly standards and workmanship quality.

• Drive continuous improvement activities related to assembly process, quality, safety, and efficiency.

• Collaborate with the quality team to resolve process-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering or a related field

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead or senior process engineering role, preferably in the manufacturing industry

3. Proven track record of designing, implementing and optimising efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes

4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills

5. Strong project management and team leadership abilities

6. Proficient in the use of process engineering software, data analysis tools and automation technologies

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

8. Thorough understanding of process control, quality management, and lean manufacturing principles
