The HSSE Advisor leads the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Management System. The role provides governance and policy direction across the APAC region, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and compliance with local regulatory requirements. This includes guiding and supporting all departments on HSSE matters, overseeing enforcement of HSSE policies and procedures, and strengthening the organisation’s safety culture through proactive risk management and operational discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within the Upstream sector
• Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices
• Solid understanding of local and regional HSSE regulatory requirements across the APAC region
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent qualification) is desirable
• Experience supporting or leading HSSE and Quality audits, risk management processes, and compliance programs
• Exposure to ESG initiatives or sustainability programs is an advantage
• Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office and ERP platforms
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
• Systematic, detail-oriented, and able to work independently across multiple countries and stakeholders

• Lead the overall management and coordination of HSSE activities across the APAC region to ensure Interwell complies with all relevant legislative, regulatory, client, and operational requirements.
• Design, develop, document, and implement HSSE policies, procedures, and supporting documentation, including emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and fire drill protocols.
• Ensure effective communication and dissemination of HSSE policies and procedures to all employees, contractors, and vendors throughout the APAC region.
• Plan, facilitate, and deliver HSSE awareness programs and training sessions to strengthen safety culture, operational discipline, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain, monitor, and review all aspects of the Risk Management System, including the Quality & HSSE Risk Registers and associated mitigation processes.
• Develop and implement the HSSE Audit Plan in accordance with the OSH Act, regional regulations, and internal corporate requirements.
• Conduct internal and external HSSE and Quality audits based on the approved audit program, ensuring thorough reporting and effective closure of findings and recommendations.
• Prepare and execute annual and quarterly HSSE Work Plans aligned with Interwell’s strategic goals and operational needs in the APAC region.
• Monitor compliance with relevant client HSSE requirements and regional legislation, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate, follow up, and initiate proactive actions on HSSE-reported cases, incidents, and near misses to prevent recurrence.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and alignment with Interwell’s HSSE standards, values, and policies.
• Lead and support HSE and ESG programs and initiatives across the APAC region, ensuring sustainability principles are embedded into operational practices and strategic decision-making.
