About the role

We are a fresh graduate Account Executive to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our bookkeeping and small practice accounting operations. As an Account Executive, you will be the cornerstone of client relationship management and financial administration, directly contributing to the success of our clients and the growth of our firm. You will work on-site in our Kuching office, where you will liaise with clients, manage accounts, and ensure the smooth delivery of our accounting services.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage client accounts and maintain accurate financial records for small to medium-sized businesses

2. Prepare and process bookkeeping entries, reconciliations, and financial statements

3. Liaise with clients to gather financial information and clarify account details

4. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded

5. Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to clients

6. Support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required

7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

What we're looking for

1. A qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field (LCCI, AAT, or equivalent recognised certification)

2. No working experience is required as training will be provided

3. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

4. Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in financial record-keeping

5. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple client accounts

6. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices

7. Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach

8. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
