Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented and highly motivated Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming indoor spaces into functional, safe and aesthetically stunning environments. You will manage projects from concept to completion, working closely with clients to understand their vision, creating technical 2D/3D layouts, sourcing materials and collaborating with contractors to bring your designs to life.
Key Responsibilities
Client Collaboration
Meet with clients to define project requirements, scope, budget and design preferences.
Concept Development
Conceptualise and sketch design plans, creating mood boards, colour palettes and material samples to illustrate the design vision.
Space Planning
Formulate space plans and traffic flow layouts, ensuring optimal functionality, safety and adherence to building codes.
Technical Drafting
Produce detailed 2D blueprints, electrical layouts, partitions plans and realistic 3D renderings using industry-standard software.
Material Sourcing (FF&E)
Research, select, and source furniture, fixtures, equipment, lighting, wall finishes, and flooring within budget constraints.
Project Management
Establish project timelines, estimate costs, and track budgets from inception to handover.
Site Supervision
Visit job sites to oversee construction progress, coordinate with architects, engineers, and general contractors, and ensure work aligns strictly with design specifications.
Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
Proven working experience (typically 2–5 years) in interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
Recommended Technical Skills
Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator).
Strong understanding of spatial planning, color theory, lighting, materials, custom furniture detailing, and building regulations.
Recommended Soft Skills
Exceptional communication, presentation, and active listening skills. High problem-solving capacity and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
