About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to join Hai Loong Enterprise Sdn Bhd in Sungai Nibong, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects on site. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, maintaining safety standards, managing workers and subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to the company's commitment to delivering excellence in construction and maintaining our reputation as a reliable and professional contractor.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate all activities on the construction site, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient operations

2. Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all workers follow proper safety protocols

3. Manage and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, including scheduling, task assignments and performance monitoring

4. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications

5. Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, equipment logs and safety documentation

6. Communicate regularly with project management, clients and stakeholders regarding project progress and any issues

7. Manage site resources, including materials, equipment and tools, ensuring proper storage and maintenance

8. Identify and address potential project delays or safety hazards, implementing corrective actions as needed

9. Ensure the site is kept clean, organised and compliant with environmental regulations

10. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture on site

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Site Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry

2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations and project management principles

3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings

4. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively

5. Sound understanding of Health and Safety at Work regulations and construction site safety practices

6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment

7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

8. Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with site management software is advantageous

9. Relevant certifications such as CIDB registration, First Aid certification or safety training are highly desirable

10. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
