About the role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Lorry Driver to join our team in Penang. As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and customer service. This is a key role within our transport and logistics operations, directly contributing to our reputation for dependable and professional delivery services. The position is based in Penang and involves regular driving duties throughout the region.

What you'll be doing

1. Operating and manoeuvring large goods vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

2. Planning and executing delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times and customer requirements

3. Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring goods are properly secured and protected during transit

4. Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any mechanical issues or defects promptly

5. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and other relevant documentation

6. Communicating professionally with customers, dispatchers and other team members to ensure smooth operations

7. Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

8. Assisting with warehouse or logistics operations as required

What we're looking for

1. A valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence or equivalent lorry driving qualification recognised in Malaysia

2. A clean driving record with a good safety track record

3. Proven experience as a lorry driver or in a similar commercial driving role

4. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance requirements

5. Excellent time management and route planning abilities

6. Professional communication and customer service skills

7. Physical fitness and ability to lift and handle heavy loads safely

8. Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility

9. Familiarity with the Penang area and surrounding regions is advantageous

10. Experience with digital navigation systems and logistics tracking software is preferred
