Neptune Safety Far East Pte Ltd is seeking an Accounts & Administrative Executive to join our team in the Tuas West Region. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the financial and operational functions of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth business operations. This position is instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting the wider business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  1. Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including invoice processing, expense recording, quarterly GST submission and payment reconciliation

  2. Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and categorised

  3. Prepare and process bank reconciliations on a monthly basis to identify and resolve discrepancies

  4. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts

  5. Monitor and track accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections

  6. Process salary and payroll-related documentation in conjunction with relevant systems and personnel

  7. Manage invoicing and quotation processes for clients and suppliers

  8. Maintain comprehensive filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring all financial documentation is organised and accessible

  9. Provide administrative support to the finance and operations teams, including scheduling, correspondence, and report preparation

  10. Liaise with external parties, including auditors, tax authorities, and service providers, as required

  11. Assist with ad-hoc projects and support other departments as needed to ensure business continuity

What we're looking for

  1. Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in bookkeeping and accounting roles

  2. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, Excel

  3. Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accuracy in financial record-keeping

  4. Understanding of basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliation processes

  5. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively

  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external stakeholders

  7. Reliability and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the accounting and administrative functions

  8. Familiarity with Singapore accounting standards and GST/tax compliance would be advantageous

  9. Experience in small to medium-sized business accounting practices or in-house finance teams is preferred

  10. Prefer only Singapore / P.R. Singapore to apply
