Are you an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in offshore Oil & Gas projects? We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join our engineering team and play a key role in delivering complex offshore facilities projects for our Clients.

Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Type: 1-Year Contract

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of structural engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including:

• Lead and execute structural engineering activities for offshore projects.
• Take ownership of assigned engineering deliverables and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare and review structural design calculations and engineering analyses.
• Develop and manage Material Requisitions (MRs).
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Forecast Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for assigned design areas.
• Review and evaluate vendor documentation and technical submissions.
• Interpret third-party reports, including:
• Geotechnical Reports
• Bathymetric Surveys
• Metocean Data
• Ensure engineering designs comply with project specifications, international codes, and client requirements.
• Review and verify detailed engineering calculations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize structural design and material quantities.
• Monitor engineering progress against project schedules, budgets, and manhour commitments.
• Ensure suppliers comply with contractual technical requirements.
• Provide timely engineering status reports to the Engineering Manager or Group Lead.
• Work closely with Procurement, Planning, and other engineering disciplines.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the design and execution of offshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong understanding of offshore structural engineering principles and international design codes.
• Experience in EPC projects for offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, or similar facilities is highly preferred.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

Structural Analysis Software

• Advanced user of SACS
• Working knowledge of USFOS
• Working knowledge of GRLWEAP

Offshore Structural Analysis

• Static In-Place Analysis
• Dynamic In-Place Analysis
• Spectral Fatigue Analysis

Pre-Service Analysis

• Lifting Analysis
• Load-Out Analysis
• On-Bottom Stability Analysis
• Pile Driveability Analysis
