Senior Offshore Structural Engineer – Kuala Lumpur (Fixed-Term)

Our client, a global engineering and technology company specializing in energy, LNG, hydrogen, and decarbonization projects, is looking for a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to join their team in Kuala Lumpur on a fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Lead / Sub-lead / Senior Engineer on project execution, owning specific technical tasks
• Handle technical responsibility for Material Requisitions
• Perform design calculations and coordinate with other disciplines
• Forecast MTOs for the design area and review vendor documents
• Interpret 3rd party reports (geotechnical, bathymetric survey, met-ocean data) for structural design basis
• Ensure design compliance with codes and timely delivery of engineering deliverables
• Prepare, update, and check detailed engineering calculations
• Propose value engineering solutions to optimize material quantities
• Ensure suppliers meet contractual technical specs within budget/manhours
• Report on engineering/requisitioning progress to the group leader
• Interface with other discipline engineers, procurement, and planning
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in design and execution of offshore facility projects
• Minimum CGPA 3.5 or 2nd Class Upper
• Advanced user of SACS
• Frequent user of USFOS and GRLWEAP
• Experience in static in-place, dynamic in-place, and spectral fatigue analyses
• In-depth knowledge of pre-service analyses: lifting, load-out, on-bottom, and pile driveability

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SESAM, Abaqus, or Ansys
• Experience in seismic (ELE/ALE), blast and fire structural collapse, vibration, and wind fatigue analyses
