Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Software Developer Intern based in Skudai. The intern will assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software components for GuardExpert Pro and related IoT solutions. Day-to-day tasks may include writing and debugging code, integrating APIs and hardware interfaces, documenting technical work, and supporting software deployments. The intern will collaborate with senior developers to implement new features, optimize performance, and address issues reported by users or testers. The role also involves participating in code reviews, learning secure coding practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of the development process.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) and basic understanding of software development principles.
- Knowledge of web or mobile application development concepts, including front-end or back-end frameworks, is an advantage.
- Interest in IoT, real-time systems, or device integration; familiarity with APIs, sensors, or cloud services is beneficial.
- Ability to read and write clear technical documentation and collaborate effectively within a development team.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Problem-solving mindset, willingness to learn new tools and technologies, and attention to detail in coding and testing.
- Understanding of basic version control (e.g., Git) and software testing concepts is a plus.
