Role Description This is a full-time, both on-site and off-site Service Engineer role. The Service Engineer will perform field service activities, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems related to electronic devices and portable gas detector. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, providing prompt troubleshooting and technical support to customers, and ensuring safe and compliant operation of all serviced equipment. The Service Engineer will prepare service reports, maintain accurate documentation, coordinate with internal teams and vendors for parts and upgrades, and support continuous improvement of service processes. Regular communication with clients to understand their operational needs, provide product guidance, and deliver high-quality service in offshore, onshore, and industrial environments is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues, resolve faults, and assist customers effectively.
• Candidates should possess solid Field Service experience, including on-site visits, equipment handling, and safe work practices in industrial or oil and gas environments.
• Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills to perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and equipment upgrades in line with manufacturer standards.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to interact with clients, write service reports, and collaborate with internal teams.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent technical qualification) is preferred.
• Familiarity with oil and gas, offshore, or heavy industrial operations and relevant safety standards (e.g., working at heights, drop prevention) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently on-site in Miri, travel to customer locations as needed, and adapt to challenging environments.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
