• · Experience: 8–10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• · Interconnect Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cable and connector manufacturing processes, high-speed cable connectivity, and fiber optic technology.
• · Quality Management: Proven experience with APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and conducting regular process audits.
• · Problem Solving: Expertise in driving failure analysis and corrective actions via 8D response methodology.
• · Scope: Driving DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and New Part Qualification (NPQ) for high-speed networking applications.

Summary

Work requires application of in-depth knowledge of professional standards and precedents in area of specialty. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of various factors. Incumbents are accountable for quality of work delivered by external suppliers as applicable. Incumbents have decision-making authorityand autonomy to deliver on goals of team. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and serious delays inoverall schedules of a site and/or regional function. Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Directs activities to support all manufacturing operations equipment availability (uptime), preventative maintenance ofequipment, scheduling of technician training, project planning and implementation, scheduling of equipmentinstallation, purchasing of spare parts and supplies for area related needs.
• Supports and manages customer test process sustaining effort including incorporation of engineering changes andidentifying yield improvements efforts.
• Manages activities pertaining to new product test development and implementation into manufacturing.
• May manage a group of engineers with the responsibility for the completion of multiple related projects encompassingseveral different areas (i.e. Quality, Manufacturing, Supplier, etc.).
• Tracks the execution of the projects under development.
• Assists upper management and business development teams by providing technical input and direction to assist inmeeting the project goals or customer requirements.
• Ensures that any customer or manufacturing issues related to existing products are addressed with high priority.

• Strong knowledge of some or all of the following: UNIX, NT, database management system.
• Ability to evaluate materials, gather and analyze data and determine root cause of problems.
• Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and coordinate multiple, changing deadlines.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Ability to effectively organize, manage and motivate team members from a wide variety of departments and with adiverse group of skill sets.
