Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Singapore. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents for refurbishment, fit-out, and construction projects. The role involves tracking project costs, monitoring variations, and preparing periodic cost reports to support budget control and project decision-making. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, site teams, designers, and subcontractors to validate quantities, negotiate prices, and ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting contract administration, evaluating progress claims and final accounts, and contributing to continuous improvement in cost management processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and quantity take-off for building refurbishment and interior fit-out projects.
- Candidates should possess solid cost planning and cost management skills, including budgeting, estimating, and value engineering.
- Candidates should possess experience in cost control and cost reporting to track expenditures, manage variations, and support project financial reviews.
- Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with Singapore construction standards, BCA requirements, and contract forms commonly used in the local industry.
- Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying and office software (e.g., MS Excel, cost management tools, CAD or BIM software is an advantage).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
