Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise and monitor daily M&E construction activities.
- Ensure all M&E works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate M&E works with Civil & Structural (C&S), Architectural, and other subcontractors to avoid work clashes.
- Conduct daily site inspections and monitor work progress.
- Verify workmanship quality and compliance with project requirements.
2. Project Planning & Progress Monitoring
- Assist the Project Manager in planning daily and weekly site activities.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for site activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
- Attend site coordination and progress meetings.
3. Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Ensure all M&E installations comply with approved shop drawings and relevant standards.
- Monitor compliance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
- Inspect completed works before consultant inspections.
- Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) requirements.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with site safety regulations.
- Report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote a safe working environment.
5. Material & Equipment Management
- Monitor delivery of M&E materials.
- Verify delivered materials against approved specifications.
- Coordinate storage and protection of materials.
- Monitor material usage to minimise wastage.
- Report material shortages promptly.
6. Consultant & Authority Coordination
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and relevant authorities.
- Assist in obtaining approvals for M&E installations.
- Ensure all consultant comments are rectified promptly.
- Prepare documentation required for inspections.
7. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate M&E testing and commissioning.
- Ensure systems operate according to design requirements.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings.
- Support the handover process to clients.
- Ensure defects during the Defects Liability Period (DLP) are rectified promptly.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain proper site records and inspection reports.
- Update daily site diaries.
- Record site instructions and consultant comments.
- Maintain records of material deliveries and work progress.
- Prepare reports for management.
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience supervising M&E works in building or construction projects.
- Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed development projects is an advantage.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
