IT Project Manager (4–6 Years Experience)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Employment Type: Contract

We are looking for an IT Project Manager with 4–6 years of experience managing end-to-end IT implementation projects. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery across system development and deployment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end IT implementation projects from project initiation through deployment and post-production support.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including:

‣ Project Charter

‣ Project Management Plan

‣ Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

‣ Project Schedule

‣ RAID Log

• Develop and maintain project plans using Microsoft Project.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate project activities across business and technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment planning, production rollout, and post-implementation support.
• Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and timelines.
• Prepare executive project status reports and present updates to senior management.
• Support projects delivered internally as well as client implementation engagements.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or in a similar project delivery role.
• Experience managing multiple end-to-end IT implementation projects, particularly in system development and deployment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of project management documentation and project governance.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams of approximately 5–20 members.
• Experience coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Exposure to projects involving one or more of the following:

‣ Web Applications

‣ Mobile Applications

‣ Cloud Solutions

‣ System Integration

‣ Enterprise Applications

• Experience managing UAT, deployment, and post-production support activities.
• Strong presentation, communication, stakeholder management, and client engagement skills.
• Experience managing medium-scale IT projects is an advantage.
