Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Shift Superintendent to lead plant operations during assigned shifts and ensure safe, stable and efficient production activities.

This role is responsible for overseeing production performance, leading Shift Supervisors and Technicians, maintaining compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements, and ensuring plant targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations and coordinate daily production activities during assigned shifts.
• Ensure safe operation of production facilities and act as Safety & Environmental Shift Team Leader.
• Supervise Shift Supervisors and Technicians to achieve production, quality and operational targets.
• Monitor and troubleshoot plant abnormalities and coordinate corrective actions with Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Oversee operations related to Raw Material Preparation, Polymerization, After-Treatment and BSS Preparation processes, with indirect supervision of Spinning and FSO Recovery operations.
• Prepare shift reports, daily summaries and communicate critical information during shift handovers.
• Manage shift manpower, training and competency development of production personnel.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS), Quality Management System (QMS), Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) and company policies.
• Support emergency response activities, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Malaysian applicants only.
• Degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical or process manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience leading operational teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (our team consists of Malaysian and Japanese)
• Willing to work on rotating shifts.

Added Advantages

• Knowledge in Emulsion Polymerization processes.
• Experience with Wastewater Treatment (WWT) and Utilities systems.
• Experience operating or troubleshooting DCS systems (Yokogawa experience is an advantage).
• Familiarity with EMS, QMS and OHSMS requirements.
