Job Summary:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting key financial functions including costing, group consolidation, audit financial statement and reporting preparation, IPO or M&A readiness. This role also involves supervising the finance team to ensure accurate financial operations, timely reporting, and compliance with the internal and external requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare monthly and annual group consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards (MFRS/IFRS).
- Review intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination for consolidation.
- Maintain financial accuracy across multiple entities and cost centres.
2. Costing & Analysis
- Manage and maintain product costing structure, including standard and actual costs.
- Analyse cost variances and margin fluctuations; highlight key drivers.
- Work closely with operations and production teams to understand cost behaviour and impact.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and highlight variances.
4. Audit & Statutory Reporting
- Lead preparation of year-end audit schedules and financial statements.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure timely completion of audits.
- Coordinate and prepare statutory filings and financial disclosures.
5. IPO & M&A Readiness
- Support financial due diligence and data room preparation for IPO or merger/acquisition exercises.
- Prepare required financial documentation, business analysis, and board materials.
6. Team Supervision
- Supervise and guide the finance team in daily operations including AP, AR, GL, and reporting functions.
- Review team deliverables and ensure deadlines are met with high accuracy.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to finance team members.
7. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Maintain accounting policies and ensure internal controls are enforced.
- Assist in finance-related process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions.
8. Other Duties
- Any other work tasks as assigned by the Group CFO.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (MIA/ACCA / CA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum 4 years of external audit experience in a reputable audit firm.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS / IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Proactive, independent, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to start work shortly.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
