Position Overview

As a Purchasing Intern, you will support the Purchasing Department in ensuring the smooth procurement of goods and services for our F&B operations. This internship provides hands-on exposure to purchasing, supplier coordination, inventory management, and procurement processes while working alongside experienced purchasing professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Purchasing team in preparing and processing purchase orders.
  • Support the monitoring and tracking of purchase requests, deliveries, and order status.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to follow up on quotations, deliveries, and required documentation.
  • Maintain and update supplier records, purchase orders, and procurement databases.
  • Assist in comparing quotations and preparing cost comparison reports.
  • Help monitor inventory levels and communicate stock requirements with relevant departments.
  • Organize and file procurement-related documents, invoices, and delivery notes.
  • Conduct basic market research to identify potential suppliers and product alternatives.
  • Assist in preparing purchasing reports and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Support the Purchasing team during stock counts, audits, and other departmental activities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Senior Purchasing Executive.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, or a related field.
  • Internship period of at least 3 months (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced F&B environment.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
