Job Description

1. Responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment, based on schedule, urgency and availability.

2. Perform PM, inspection, and functional checks on clip cutting guns and maintain PM and verification records properly.

3. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and ensure timely recovery, and attend to all power and machines failure/short/trip and rectify accordingly.

4. Conduct routine inspections to ensure machines are in good working condition and maintain the equipment and machine performance with minimal production downtime.

5. Perform verification checks to ensure equipment accuracy and functionality before production use.

6. Responsible for manufacturing model change activity for equipment and machines, as well as keeping the equipment and machines in the designated area.

7. Responsible for unboxing, installation, and setup of new equipment. Coordinate with Technical and Quality Departments to perform verification and validation before release to production. Ensure all required SOPs, SOIs, checklists, and documentation are available and properly placed/attached to the machine. Support trial runs and ensure equipment meets operational and quality requirements.

8. Assist in line changeover activities, including setup and adjustment of equipment. Ensure all machines and programs are ready before production starts. Support validation and trial runs during model changeover.

9. Support troubleshooting of MES-related issues affecting equipment operation.

10. Support maintenance and assembly of conveyors. Ensure proper alignment, cleanliness, and readiness for production.

11. Immediately report the major incident that occurs to the engineer/manager and make necessary arrangements or escalation to avoid a production line stop.

12. Be on standby when required and support overtime work to ensure minimal production disruption and timely equipment recovery. To perform shift duty when required to support production and maintenance activities.

13. Responsible for spare parts inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, usage tracking, and ensuring availability for maintenance activities. Maintain 5S housekeeping standards in the maintenance working area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions at all times.

14. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly working area. Assist in the installation and maintenance of racking systems for equipment and racking. Ensure proper storage, labelling, and organization of tools and spare parts.

15. Follow maintenance checklists, SOP, and work instructions during all activities. Ensure compliance with quality and audit requirements. Ensure all machines running according to the production plan are properly identified and marked by operators. Verify that machine usage is checked by the Line Leader or Supervisor before operation. Ensure only approved machines and correct setups are used in production.

16. Update machine and equipment checklists on a monthly basis to ensure the latest revision is in use. Collect and file previous checklists properly for record and audit purposes.

17. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the engineer/manager from time to time.

Requirement

1. Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

2. At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

3. Basic knowledge of testing equipment, torque tools, and conveyor systems.

4. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools such as torque tools, saws, drills, wrenches, multimeter &, etc.

5. Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical, and the ability to understand circuit diagrams.

6. Strong hands-on technical and troubleshooting skills, electrical circuits and computer software and the ability to read basic technical drawings and follow SOPs.

7. Familiarity with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques, attention to detail and quality awareness.

Good teamwork and communication skills, and willingness to learn and improve.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
