Position: Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage procurement, tendering, and contract administration activities for construction and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tender documents, sourcing suppliers and subcontractors, evaluating quotations, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while supporting project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and quality services.
• Invite, evaluate, and compare quotations for materials, equipment, and subcontract works.
• Prepare tender analyses, recommendation reports, and procurement documentation for management approval.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved procurement procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to project sites.
• Assist in contract administration, including preparation of contract documents and monitoring contractual obligations.
• Verify supplier and subcontractor claims, invoices, delivery orders, and supporting documents.
• Monitor project costs, procurement budgets, and cost variations.
• Maintain accurate procurement, tender, and contract records.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal departments throughout the procurement and tender process.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or any related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in the construction industry or related field, with exposure to procurement, tendering, and contract administration.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of construction contracts, tender procedures, and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Language:

• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.

Other Requirements:

• Possess a valid driving licence.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Putrajaya: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CIDB (Required)
