Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • Build secure RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external banking systems.
  • Develop event-driven applications using Kafka, JMS/IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
  • Design and implement Spring Batch jobs for large-scale data processing and reconciliation.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to system design for high-availability distributed systems.
  • Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security, JWT, OAuth2, and mTLS.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Helm, and related tools.
  • Produce API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Monitor production environments using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or similar observability tools.
  • Participate in SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-production support.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Ensure coding standards, test coverage, and quality through SonarQube, JaCoCo, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Work in Agile Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Any other ad hoc duty provided by the supervisor

Requirement

  • Banking experience is highly preferred
  • 8–12+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17/21).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Strong experience designing REST APIs.
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, JMS/IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Strong SQL skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
