Job Title: Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) Engineer | Python | Databricks | AWS

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Renewability based on the performance & business needs)

Working Location: TRX/Klang Valley

Working schedule: Office Hour (Monday - Friday)

Salary & Compensation: Basic Salary Up to RM 6,500 (based on skill and experience) + Statutory contribution + Leave entitlement + Medical insurance

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced engineering professional to support machine learning and analytics solutions by ensuring models perform efficiently throughout testing and production. In this role, you'll execute model benchmarking and optimisation activities, support validation and UAT readiness, perform production verification, troubleshoot model-related incidents, and maintain documentation of model performance and testing outcomes.

You'll work with Python-based modelling, Databricks, AWS-hosted environments, and PostgreSQL to help deliver reliable and high-performing data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute model performance benchmarking and optimisation activities to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Support model testing cycles, validation activities, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) readiness.
• Perform production verification and assist in troubleshooting model-related incidents.
• Investigate issues, conduct initial issue triage, and support resolution of production model operations.
• Document model behaviour, validation outcomes, testing results, and performance outputs.
• Work with Python-based modelling and analytics solutions within Databricks environments.
• Support model execution and basic workflow management using Databricks notebooks.
• Work within AWS-hosted environments and runtime technologies including Python, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Proficient in Python for modelling and analytics.
• Experience working with Databricks, including notebooks, model execution, and basic job workflows.
• Familiar with AWS-hosted environments and runtime technologies such as Python, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in model testing, benchmarking, validation, and performance optimisation.
• Experience supporting production model operations and handling model-related incidents.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to record testing outcomes and model performance.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting machine learning models in production environments.
• Exposure to performance monitoring and optimisation of analytics or AI models.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering, analytics, or data science teams.
