Role Description This full-time Team Lead role is a hybrid position based in WP Kuala Lumpur, with a mix of office-based and work-from-home arrangements. The Team Lead will oversee a team of professionals, set clear objectives, and monitor performance to ensure service and operational targets are met. Daily responsibilities include planning and allocating workloads, coaching and mentoring team members, and resolving escalated customer or operational issues. The role involves coordinating cross-functional communication, preparing regular reports for management, and ensuring adherence to company policies and Shariah-compliant standards. The Team Lead will also contribute to process improvements, support change initiatives, and foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with capacity to engage stakeholders and handle escalations professionally.
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills, including workload planning, reporting, and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with financial services or takaful/insurance operations is preferred, with an understanding of customer service standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities both onsite and remotely.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in common office software and digital collaboration tools; openness to learning new systems.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, respect for diversity, and alignment with Shariah-compliant practices.
