ABOUT THE POSITION
E-Mapping is looking for a talented Geographic Information Systems (GIS) intern to join our team. The qualified candidate will contribute across multiple project teams and provide a range of GIS services relating to mapping, transportation, analysis and environmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Development, synthesis, management, and analysis of data
- GIS mapping production
- Editing geographic data
- Producing shapefiles, story maps, and dashboards
Skills and Attributes
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently with guidance
- Background experience working with Esri’s ArcGIS Pro, Online, QGIS and Google Earth.
- Ability to perform basic GIS analysis and query operations
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in geography, cartography, planning or environmental science, or a related field
- 2 years of completed coursework related to GIS is preferred
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and Online
Job Type: Internship
Pay: RM500.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
