The Role
We are seeking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing full set of accounts, supporting the Finance Manager in daily finance operations matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role involves maintaining and reconciling GL accounts, processing journal entries, and assisting with financial reporting. Key
Responsibilities:
• Full Set of Accounts: Manage and maintain the full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Taxation and Corporate Reporting.
• Monthly Journals: Prepare and record monthly journal entries, accruals and adjustments with precision.
• Intercompany billing: Prepare and record intercompany journals and billing issuance.
• Month-End Closing: Support in month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Audit (Internal & External): Support in both internal and external audit queries and documentation.
• Taxation: Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory tax filings (e.g., SST, corporate tax, withholding tax).
• Tax Assistance: Support with tax-related queries and documentation.
• Corporate Reports: Prepare and deliver monthly corporate reports as required.
• Government Requests: Handle requests for government statistics and data.
• Project Assistance: Contribute to various projects as needed, providing financial insights and support.
Requirements:
• A Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification such as ACCA (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full set accounts
• Prior experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to meeting deadlines
• A positive attitude, eager to learn, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
