Position Summary:
To lead the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions by ensuring all products meet customer requirements, company standards, and applicable regulatory and ISO requirements while driving continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
2. Ensure all incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods comply with quality specifications before delivery to customers.
3. Lead and supervise the QA/QC team, including inspectors, engineers, executives and laboratory personnel.
4. Plan and conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 17712, ISO 14001 and customer audits, etc.).
5. Investigate customer complaints, non-conforming products, and quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
6. Monitor production quality performance through KPIs such as defect rate, rejection rate, customer complaints, scrap, and rework.
7. Work closely with Production, Technical, Purchasing, R&D, Warehouse, and Sales to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
8. Approve quality procedures, inspection standards, control plans, and product specifications.
9. Ensure measuring and testing equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
10. Review supplier quality performance and support supplier development initiatives.
11. Conduct quality-related training and promote a quality culture throughout the organization.
12. Prepare quality reports and present quality performance, trends, and improvement plans to Management.
13. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, statutory regulations, and company quality policies.
14. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve process capability, increase customer satisfaction, and support operational excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
3. Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001. Knowledge of ISO 17712, ISO 14001 and customer compliance requirements is an added advantage.
4. Experienced in conducting internal and external quality audits, root cause analysis, and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
5. Good understanding of quality tools and methodologies such as 7 QC Tools, 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and PDCA.
6. Knowledge of inspection methods, testing procedures, calibration systems, and statistical quality control.
7. Strong leadership, people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to analyse quality data, prepare reports, and present findings to Senior Management.
