About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant Manager to support the Finance Manager in overseeing the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in managing full sets of accounts while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), taxation requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Support the preparation of SST, corporate tax schedules, and annual audit requirements.
• Review and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial processes.
• Supervise and guide finance team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, SST, and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
