Job Summary
Sungold Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, quantity take-offs, contract administration, and project cost control for plumbing, water reticulation, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BQ) from construction drawings and specifications.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for plumbing and water reticulation projects.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate costs when required.
Monitor project expenditures and prepare cost reports for management.
Measure and value completed works for progress claims and payment certificates.
Prepare variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.
Assist in procurement planning and material cost analysis.
Maintain accurate records of project costs, quantities, and contract documentation.
Support project teams in cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 01 year of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
Experience in plumbing, water supply, pipeline, infrastructure, or M&E projects is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of Malaysian construction contracts and industry practices is preferred.
