We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design and implement functional software solutions. Collaborating with upper management, you will play a key role in defining software requirements and assuming leadership of operational and technical projects.

Your primary objective will be to develop high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and align with the organization’s business goals. This will involve analyzing requirements, designing robust architectures, writing efficient code, and conducting thorough testing.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the responsibility to drive projects forward, mentor junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. By delivering innovative and reliable software, you will contribute to the success of our organization and make a meaningful impact in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to users (internal and/or external) by investigating and rectifying reported cases.
• Analyze requests for enhancements/changes and prepare amendment/program specifications.
• Update/maintain system documentation.
• Perform and manage stages of the SDLC and participate in system reviews with the Project Lead/Manager.
• Understand the interdependencies of services (applications, systems and databases) and be able to accurately pinpoint problem areas to improve overall efficiency.
• Design and document system architecture, and propose appropriate technologies and tools required to implement systems; ensure users sign off on design specifications.
• Use development tools to develop applications for better productivity.
• Develop test cases, conduct SIT & UAT, perform load testing, and tune system performance to meet SLA requirements.
• Prepare deployment documentation for production and provide post-implementation support.
• Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues in their assigned tasks.
• Keep abreast of technological advancement, emerging standards, and new software or hardware solutions that may affect decisions regarding system builds or enhancements.

Requirements and skills

• Minimum 2-4 years of software development experience, preferably in a senior role.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Java/J2EE.
• Experience in backend development, API integration, debugging, performance tuning, and application maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries, stored procedures, database design, and optimization.
• Familiar with application deployment environments and operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
• Good understanding of the software development life cycle, version control, testing, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and guide junior developers when required.
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,300.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
