Job Requirements

The Snr./Cook will be required to assist with the following basic food preparation tasks and be capable of instructing subordinates to:

• Food preparation and cooking for residents and employees
• Preparation of foods which are to be served as part of special or therapeutic diets for residents
• Ensure food are stored in the correct temperatures
• Ensure food are correctly labelled and expiry dates are strictly adhered
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of meal distribution
• Assist with menu planning
• Minimizes food waste through proper control of portioning and storage of food items
• Maintain overall cleanliness of kitchen
• Ensure members of the Kitchen team are following food safety procedures in the kitchen
• Clean and perform basic maintenance of stoves, work area etc. Dispose garbage from the food service area

Qualification and Experiences

• O' Level or equivalent qualification
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate (WSQ Food & Beverage Safety & Hygiene Policies and Procedures)
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
