Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, storage areas, floors, walls, and waste disposal areas.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Operate dishwashing machines and maintain cleaning equipment properly.
Kitchen Support
- Assist kitchen staff with basic support tasks as required.
- Transport clean dishes, utensils, and equipment to designated storage areas.
- Support food preparation areas by ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist with receiving and storing supplies when needed.
Waste Management
- Collect and dispose of kitchen waste according to company procedures.
- Separate recyclable materials and maintain waste disposal areas.
- Ensure garbage bins are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
Equipment Care and Maintenance
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Report any damaged equipment or maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of kitchen tools and equipment.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment at all times.
Team Support
- Work closely with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist during busy service periods and special events as required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor, Sous Chef, or Head Chef.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in a stewarding, kitchen, or hospitality role is an advantage but not required.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month
