Role Description

VME Technical Services Sdn Bhd is excited to offer a career opportunity for a motivated engineer to join our dynamic team in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor.  In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and senior engineers to support the execution of engineering projects. The Project Engineer will assist in preparing technical documentation and contributing to project deliverables to ensure they meet required standards and timelines.  This position offers valuable hands-on experience, exposure to real-world engineering projects and the opportunity to develop technical skills within a collaborative and supportive team environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the review of project scope, client specifications, engineering requirements, and technical documentation.
• Assist in developing and monitoring project execution schedules covering engineering, drafting, procurement, and fabrication activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support project deliverables and technical activities.
• Review engineering documents and ensure compliance with client requirements, purchase orders, and project specifications.
• Support coordination between internal engineering teams, vendors, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Assist in tracking project progress, milestones, engineering deliverables, and overall project execution status.
• Support technical query management and follow up on engineering clarifications with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and engineering records to ensure effective project control.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and coordinating activities throughout the project lifecycle until completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related disciplines).
• 0–2 years of experience in engineering, project support, or technical roles within an industrial environment.
• Fresh graduates with strong interest in Oil & Gas engineering projects are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, project execution processes, and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings such as General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and equipment datasheets will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of industrial equipment including piping systems, pumps, heat exchangers, and instrumentation will be advantageous.
• Exposure to engineering standards such as ASME, API, ISA, IEC, NEC, or ATEX will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with engineering software tools.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and eager to grow within a project-based engineering environment.
