Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OCI Technical Architect and Database Administrator (DBA) to lead the design and implementation the cloud solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The candidate is a hands-on technical expert with a deep understanding of OCI services, architecture best practices, and enterprise-scale cloud deployments. The candidate will be a key player in defining the cloud strategy, architecting robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments, and implementing the complex migration process. This role requires a blend of technical depth, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities: OCI Architecture -
- Architect Cloud Solutions: Design and architect comprehensive, end-to-end cloud solutions on OCI, including IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures, that align with business requirements for scalability, high availability, security, and performance and managing the Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) and Oracle Database Cloud Service (DBCS).
- Develop Cloud Strategy: Define and evolve the organization's OCI adoption strategy, architecture standards, and best practices. Create and maintain architectural blueprints and roadmaps for cloud infrastructure.
- Lead Technical Design: Lead technical design sessions, working closely with stakeholders, developers and security teams to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and deployment plans.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the adoption of automation and IaC principles using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and OCI native services to provision and manage cloud resources.
- Security & Compliance: Architect secure cloud environments by implementing OCI security services (e.g., VCN Security Lists, Network Security Groups, IAM, Cloud Guard, OCI Vault). Ensure solutions comply with industry regulations and company security policies.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and analyze OCI usage and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization without compromising performance or security.
- Migration & Modernization: Lead the technical planning and execution of large-scale migrations from on-premise data centers to OCI. Architect solutions for modernizing legacy applications using cloud-native services.
- Performance & Reliability: Design highly available and resilient architectures using OCI features like Availability Domains, Fault Domains, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present architectural designs and proposals to technical and non-technical stakeholders, clearly articulating the benefits, risks, and trade-offs of different solutions.
- Stay Current: Continuously research and evaluate new OCI services, features, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
