Power Infrastructure Leader to own the design, reliability, operations, and optimization of mission-critical electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale AI workloads.
This is a leadership role requiring deep expertise in electrical engineering, mission-critical facilities, and high-availability data centre operations.
Role Overview
As the
Power Infrastructure Leader, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of electrical infrastructure across Nava's data centre facilities. You will lead the strategy, design review, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and continuous optimization of critical power systems while ensuring maximum reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with Data Centre Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Network Infrastructure, Facilities, Construction, and Vendor Partners to ensure uninterrupted power availability for mission-critical AI and cloud infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesPower Infrastructure Leadership
- Own the design, deployment, commissioning, and lifecycle management of mission-critical electrical infrastructure across Tier III+/IV data centres.
- Develop long-term power capacity planning strategies aligned with business growth and AI infrastructure requirements.
- Drive engineering standards, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all electrical systems.
Critical Power Systems
- Lead operations and maintenance of:
- UPS Systems
- Diesel Generators
- Medium & Low Voltage Switchgear
- Transformers
- Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
- Static Transfer Switches (STS)
- Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
- Busway Systems
- Battery Backup Infrastructure (VRLA & Lithium-ion)
- Ensure N+1 / 2N redundancy across all critical electrical infrastructure.
Reliability & Operations
- Maintain 99.999% service availability through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for all electrical incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop emergency response procedures, failover strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
Monitoring & Automation
- Manage Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Implement real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and automation to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.
- Monitor electrical load distribution, capacity utilization, and power quality.
Sustainability & Energy Management
- Drive initiatives to improve:
- Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE)
- Energy efficiency
- Renewable energy adoption
- Carbon footprint reduction
- Ensure alignment with Singapore's Green Data Centre Roadmap and sustainability objectives.
Vendor & Project Management
- Manage EPC contractors, OEMs, electrical consultants, and maintenance vendors.
- Review electrical designs, commissioning reports, and acceptance testing.
- Support expansion projects and greenfield data centre builds.
Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
- Drive engineering best practices, knowledge sharing, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure resilience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in mission-critical electrical infrastructure.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience supporting Tier III/IV Data Centres, Hyperscalers, Colocation Providers, or Large Enterprise Facilities.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and operational best practices.

- Experience supporting AI/HPC clusters or GPU-based infrastructure.
- Knowledge of liquid-cooled data centres and high-density power environments.
- Familiarity with renewable energy integration and smart grid technologies.
- Experience working in Singapore or APAC data centre environments.
