Role Description The Social Media Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content across social media platforms to promote Joyspace events, services, and brand. Day-to-day tasks include managing social media calendars, drafting posts, sourcing or creating visuals and videos, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages in a timely, professional manner. The Social Media Executive will also support campaign planning, run basic social media ads or boosted posts, track performance metrics, and prepare simple reports to improve future content strategies. Collaboration with the event and sales teams will be required to capture event highlights, gather client stories, and ensure all online communication is consistent with brand guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Ability to plan and manage social media content calendars, with experience posting regularly across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong skills in writing clear, engaging captions and basic copywriting, with an eye for storytelling and brand-consistent tone.
  • Basic design and content creation skills, including familiarity with tools like Canva or similar platforms for simple graphics and short-form video content.
  • Comfort with analyzing social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, followers) and using insights to adjust content and posting strategies.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with event, sales, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple campaigns or platforms simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in social media management, digital marketing, or event promotion is preferred but not strictly required.
  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is an advantage; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
