Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Software Engineer role located in Johor Bahru. The Junior Software Engineer will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, with a focus on back-end web development. Daily tasks include writing clean and efficient code, fixing bugs, reviewing code with senior engineers, and contributing to technical documentation. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement new features, and improve system performance and reliability. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, follow established development standards, and learn new tools and frameworks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Solid foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
  • Skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, ideally with experience using common web frameworks and APIs.
  • Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, with attention to code quality, testing, and maintainability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and follow guidance from senior engineers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development lifecycle practices is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to changing project needs, and contribute positively to a supportive work culture.
