IT ERP Project Manager

Location: Malaysia

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Position Summary

The client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the successful setup and deployment of enterprise business systems for a newly established legal entity. This role will ensure that Oracle ERP and associated internal applications are configured, integrated, tested, and operational to support business readiness and regulatory compliance under the Consumer Credit Act in Malaysia

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations, Risk & Compliance, Legal, Technology teams, and external vendors to deliver system readiness within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of business systems for the new legal entity.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor project risks and proactively resolve implementation issues.
• Coordinate project governance and provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders.

Systems Implementation

• Coordinate the configuration and deployment of Oracle ERP modules.
• Manage the implementation of internal business applications required for the new entity.
• Ensure all required system master data and organisational structures are correctly established.
• Coordinate system integrations between Oracle and internal platforms.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management and production readiness.

Business Readiness

• Work closely with business users to understand operational requirements.
• Translate business requirements into system configuration requirements.
• Ensure systems support new business processes arising from Consumer Credit Act requirements.
• Coordinate cutover planning and go-live activities.

Risk & Compliance

• Ensure system implementation complies with corporate governance and IT security standards.
• Support audit and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure project deliverables align with Consumer Credit Act implementation requirements.

Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in ERP or enterprise systems implementation.
• Proven experience delivering Oracle ERP implementation projects.
• Experience implementing systems for new legal entities, business units, or acquisitions is highly preferred.
• Experience working within Financial Services, Banking, Consumer Finance, or regulated industries is advantageous.
• Strong project management experience with multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is an experienced ERP implementation professional who thrives in project-based environments and has successfully delivered enterprise system implementations involving Oracle ERP. They are comfortable managing cross-functional teams, coordinating multiple workstreams, and ensuring technology readiness for new business entities operating in regulated industries. Experience supporting legal entity setup, regulatory transformation, or financial services projects will be a strong advantage.
