Packer / Kitchen Assistant

Job Responsibilities

Pack food products and customer orders accurately according to order lists.

Check that all items, quantities and add-ons are included before orders are

dispatched.

Label, organise and prepare orders for delivery or self-collection.

Hand over completed orders to delivery drivers and ensure orders are sent out

on time.

Carry out simple food preparation, such as heating ready-to-eat dishes in the

oven.

Assist with portioning, arranging and preparing food items when required.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen, packing and storage areas.

Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment, trays, utensils and work surfaces.

Store ingredients and food products correctly according to food-safety

procedures.

Assist with receiving, checking and organising incoming stock.

Support the kitchen and operations team with other duties when required.

Job Requirements

Must possess a valid WSQ Food Safety certification.

Able to handle food safely and follow kitchen hygiene procedures.

Careful, organised and able to pack orders accurately.

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.

Able to stand for extended periods and carry food cartons or supplies when

required.

Prior experience in food packing, kitchen operations or food preparation is

preferred but not compulsory.

Availability on weekends and peak periods is preferred.

Hourly Rate: $11–$13 per hour, depending on experience.
