Semco Maritime in Singapore is looking for commissioning engineers as an expansion of our engineering team engaged in Telecommunication Systems – PAGA, PABX, CCTV, GMDSS Radio System, VSAT System, UHF Repeater System etc. solutions for the Offshore and Onshore Oil & Gas Industry.
Job Tasks

Duties
Core Commissioning & Site Tasks You will be involved primarily in fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of various telecommunication systems. Specific duties include:
- Commissioning & Service: Ensure that each system’s functionality is commissioned to clients’ satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that there are no error/fault of systems at handover point.
- Compliance: Ensure installed systems are in compliance to respective rules and regulations.
- Reporting: Report of site inspection/commissioning document.
- Non-conformity: Responsible to initiate and undertake actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformity.
- Site Inspection: Inspection on site and site activities.
- Fabrication: Supervise any third-party fabrication works in the workshop and participate in fabrication works if needed.
- Resource Management: Assisting the Commissioning Manager to organize and plan usage of available resources to achieve optimal performance for each system.
- HSE: Maintain HSE standards on site and assist the Commissioning Manager in doing so.
- General Support: Any other duties assigned by the Commissioning Manager, including assisting lead engineers or project managers in daily project execution.
Required
Technical Systems Expertise Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in configuration, programming, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of the following systems is required:
- Radio & Navigation: GMDSS Radio, VHF Aeronautical Radio, Helicopter Navigation Beacon (NDB), UHF Active Repeater System with TX & RX Combiners, Crane & Life Boat Radios, PNS, P.R.S. & Navigation Systems.
- Communication: VSAT Systems with Stabilized Antennas, PAGA systems, PABX systems, LAN/WLAN and IP-PABX Systems.
- Security & Monitoring: CCTV Systems, ENT/IPTV & TVRO Systems, EPOB System, ENV/HMS & Weather Monitoring Systems.
- Specialized Systems: Leaky Feeder and Passive Antenna, TNMS System, and Telecom Shutdown Systems.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: A Degree in Telecommunication / Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- Experience: Relevant working experiences in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Software: Knowledge of application software e.g., Word, Excel, AUTOCAD etc.
- Personal Attributes:

- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Team player with cooperation spirit and excellent coordinating skills.
- Pro-active, self-motivating, and willing to learn.
- Possess good interpersonal, communication and technical writing skills.
- Travel: You will be part of a dynamic worldwide team of engineers which will require your ability to work, and cooperate with local engineers as well as Semco’s engineers around the world. You will be required to travel frequently to local shipyards, overseas shipyards for onshore tasks as well as various offshore location for offshore tasks.
