Assistant Engineer (PCBA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily PCBA production to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Assist in setting up and optimizing SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Monitor production yield, downtime, and equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to SMT, PCB assembly, soldering defects, and process abnormalities.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering builds, pilot runs, and product transfers.
• Assist in machine setup, program verification, and process validation.
• Analyze production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform root cause analysis using quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, and 8D.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve productivity and product quality.
• Support Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN) implementation.
• Ensure production processes comply with company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and cycle time.
• Prepare engineering reports, work instructions, process documentation, and technical reports.
• Assist in evaluating tooling, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment for process improvement.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with ESD, 5S, safety regulations, and manufacturing procedures.

Job RequirementsEducation

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
• 1–3 years of experience in SMT, PCBA, or EMS manufacturing is an advantage.
• Experience in NPI, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering is preferred.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
