Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Building Maintenance)

Location of Project: Johor Bahru
Employment Type: Contract (more than 3 years)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer (Building Maintenance) to join our Facilities Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and improvement of electrical systems and infrastructure within our facilities. The candidate must possess sound technical knowledge and strong problem-solving abilities to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Also, we are looking for candidate who is available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, operate, and maintain all electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, generators, and UPS systems within the facility.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and relevant authorities for scheduled maintenance, upgrades, or emergency repairs.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with statutory regulations, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
• Prepare reports and documentation including maintenance logs, equipment service records, and compliance audits.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability practices within the facilities.
• Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and technical evaluations as required.
• Provide technical input for renovation, refurbishment, or infrastructure expansion projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in electrical engineering, preferably in facilities management, property management, or building maintenance.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Certification accepted by Fire and Safety Officer (FSO).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services, and statutory requirements (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga, DOSH, BOMBA).
• Familiar with energy management systems and green building practices.
• Experience working in commercial, industrial, or healthcare facilities is an added advantage.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
