Accountabilities:

• Provide strategic oversight and end-to-end operational management for the Retail segment, secured and unsecured collections units, with a core focus on the Mortgage Loan portfolio.
• Manage the full spectrum of the delinquency lifecycle, spanning across early prevention, Non-Performing Loans (NPL), late-stage recovery, and formal legal litigation.
• Handle high-value escalated collection cases with premium professionalism, negotiating strategic resolutions while effectively balancing portfolio risk and customer relationships.
• Review and streamline dunning models and escalation processes to optimize recovery outcomes, lower credit losses, and maintain high compliance standards.
• Monitor critical departmental performance metrics, driving operational productivity and strict adherence to internal policies and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing, disciplined team of 12 collections professionals through active coaching and robust capacity management.

Who you are:

• Litigation & Recovery Expert: You must have a proven track record handling late-stage recovery, foreclosure, property auctions, and legal litigation. Profiles restricted to early-prevention/tele-dunning will not be considered.
• Full-Lifecycle Collections Specialist: Minimum 10 years of proven experience in managing delinquent accounts within the banking sector, with an absolute requirement for end-to-end Mortgage portfolio coverage.
• Analytical Problem Solver: Possess a strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret delinquency trends and drive tactical, data-backed recovery strategies.
• Proven People Leader: Strong leadership and coaching qualities with a track record of successfully managing and developing an operational team (headcount of 12).
• Elite Communicator: Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills to manage complex legal and customer escalations.
