To assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to the resort's recipes and quality standards while maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food according to standard recipes and procedures.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with the resort's quality and hygiene standards.
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or damaged items to the Chef.
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Preparation, or a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant kitchen.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and food safety practices.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
