The M&E Site Supervisor is responsible to oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on-site, including rotary/static equipment, piping, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical wiring.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and service electrical panels and switchboards, attend to all power and machine failure/short/trip and rectify accordingly.
- Troubleshoot circuits and write clear reports on failures.
- Perform hands-on electrical tasks including wiring and connecting works.
- Work with team members on projects, attend site surveys and client meetings, and coordinate with site and production teams to meet deadlines.
- Involve in source and purchase hardware and electrical materials.
- Meet all project deadlines, submission dates, and daily assignments efficiently by following provided instructions and guidelines.
- Install, modification, repair and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems and lighting system.
- Plan and supervise daily activities of site workers.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergencies.
- Conduct regular site checks to ensure maintenance is done on time, especially during emergencies.
- Assist supervisors with mechanical and electrical (M&E) work and maintenance.
- Install, check, maintain, and troubleshoot air-conditioning systems responsibly.
- Take full charge of assigned M&E projects.
- Perform routine maintenance as planned.
- Keep all tools and equipment organized and in good working condition.
- Be willing to travel or work at outstation project sites when required;
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent. Candidates with higher qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in M&E, construction, or building maintenance environment;
- Knowledge in electrical systems, HVAC systems, wiring, and troubleshooting works;
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and M&E schematics;
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Good leadership and site coordination abilities;
- Possess own transport and willing to travel/outstation when required;
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
- Good communication and teamwork skills;
