Role Description

• Manage Inventory Accounting by ensuring all physical inventories are accurately recorded, reconciled, and utilized in accordance with NSG Group and local policies, including conducting biannual inventory counts.
• Administer Fixed Asset Accounting by managing asset capitalization, work-in-progress (WIP) assets, transfers, disposals, retirements, reconciliations, and physical asset verification.
• Oversee Treasury Operations by monitoring cash balances, maintaining cash books, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring accurate recording of banking transactions.
• Act as the Primary Liaison with Banks by coordinating banking transactions, preparing required documentation, and managing loan and financing facilities, including interest calculations and repayment schedules.
• Review and Validate Payment Transactions to ensure all payment documents comply with company policies before cash transfers are executed.
• Perform General Accounting Activities including manual journal postings, overhead cost accounting, accruals, prepayments, cost allocations, and other period-end accounting adjustments.
• Support Tax and Statutory Compliance by coordinating e-Invoice reporting, statutory submissions, and other finance-related regulatory requirements with the Malaysia Finance Manager.
• Maintain Financial Master Data by processing requests for General Ledger (GL), inventory, and fixed asset master data changes, ensuring approvals comply with the Company's Authority Matrix.
• Ensure Effective Internal Controls by performing monthly General Ledger reconciliations, completing assigned control activities, maintaining proper documentation, and supporting periodic cost bundle reporting.
• Provide Operational and Administrative Support by coordinating document management and carrying out additional finance-related assignments as directed by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Finance knowledge and the ability to interpret and apply accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates should possess skills in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for financial and operational improvement.
• Candidates should possess experience in Financial Reporting, including preparation of management reports and support for statutory reporting requirements.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Goods and Services Tax (GST) and related compliance, reporting, and documentation processes.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial systems, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operational and management teams.
• Relevant academic qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors and knowledge of local regulatory requirements are beneficial.
