Role Description

The Quarry & Premix Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Rawang, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the quarry and premix plant, ensuring efficient production, cost control, and effective stockpile management. Manages site operations by supervising operational personnel, coordinating repair and maintenance activities for fixed and mobile plants, and performing general administrative duties. Ensures compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and Group guidelines through the implementation of procedures, training, and compliance monitoring. Prepares production reports and supports operational projects as assigned. Accountable for fostering a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture by identifying workplace hazards, implementing appropriate risk controls, ensuring adherence to HSE policies and objectives, and driving continual improvement towards achieving zero harm. Carries out any other duties as reasonably assigned in support of operational and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of quarry operations, aggregate production, and asphalt premix processes, with the ability to apply engineering principles to optimize output and quality.
• Experience in production planning, process control, and resource management in a heavy industry or construction materials environment.
• Understanding of occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations, with demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and compliance.
• Proficiency in using engineering tools and software (e.g., basic CAD, production monitoring systems, and MS Office) for reporting, analysis, and planning.
• Effective leadership and team coordination skills, including the ability to supervise diverse operational teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement of processes and performance.
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage for site coordination and stakeholder engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
• Prior experience in quarrying, mining, asphalt premix, or related construction materials operations is highly beneficial.
