We are working with our client who is a world-renowned international civil main contractor specialising in foundation works, geotechnical and soil technology and has strong civil engineering presence in Singapore. They are looking for Senior Engineer with strong experience in marine, coastal or nearshore civil works to manage their marine civil projects.

Job Description:

• Direct the execution of marine and coastal engineering works, including reclamation, seabed improvement, and other offshore construction activities.
• Organise the utilisation of marine resources by coordinating vessels, cranes, barges, pontoons, workboats, and the transportation of materials to site.
• Track construction progress and prepare regular reports for the Project Manager and project stakeholders, highlighting completed works, potential risks, delays, and corrective actions.
• Plan and oversee marine site establishment, including temporary working platforms, access arrangements, staging facilities, silt curtain installation, and environmental protection measures.
• Manage marine surveys and site investigations, including hydrographic surveys, seabed inspections, geotechnical investigations, and monitoring instrumentation.
• Verify that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality requirements, statutory regulations, and environmental standards.
• Supervise subcontractors, specialist marine contractors, and site personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the project programme.
• Develop and review engineering documentation such as work procedures, method statements, lifting studies, risk assessments, and marine operational plans for approval and implementation.
• Act as the primary liaison with consultants, clients, regulatory authorities, and internal departments to facilitate inspections, permits, design coordination, and technical resolutions.
• Maintain compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations by monitoring site safety practices, weather forecasts, tidal conditions, and other operational risks affecting marine works.
• Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely mobilisation of marine equipment, construction materials, and supporting resources.
• Provide engineering support, construction planning, and technical input to the project team while undertaking additional responsibilities required for successful project execution.

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by PE Board
• Min 5 years of project experience relevant to coastal, marine, reclamation, waterfront or nearshore civil engineering
• Excellent understanding of marine safety, environmental control and statutory regulations
• Familiarity with marine logistics and equipment operations is an added advantage
• Demonstrate strong technical skills and ability to lead civil & infrastructure design and construction team
